These are sad days for the ceramic industry. And this time we are not referring to the severe economic crisis that seems to never end, but the death of one of the major drivers of the ceramic design and the ceramic industry in Castellon (Spain). Maximiliano Aparicio Miralles, founder of the well-known companies Cerámicas Aparici and Apavisa (back in 1961), died in Alcora at the age of 80.
The sector is in complete mourning, because this death joins the recent death of Joaquin Piñón, president of Ascer. The Ceramic Manufacturers Association has issued an official statement in which deeply regrets this irreparable loss, communicating the most sincere condolences to the family.
The funeral Mass was held on Saturday in the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, in Alcora, his hometown.
