Winners of the I Ceramic Street Furniture Competition of Onda
Two citizens of the city of Onda (Castellón, Spain), Pasqual Herrero and Lluís Bort, have been awarded with the first prize in the I Ceramic Street Furniture Competition of Onda, which has distributed a total of 4,500 euros in cash prizes. An initiative promoted by the Council of the Ceramic of Onda, which decided to draw up a catalog of ceramic street furniture for its inclusion in the municipal regulation that will be presented shortly. Undoubtedly, one of the most promising new applications for the ceramic design.
The winners of this contest, which is part of the innovative aspect of the Cevisama fair held in Valencia, were announced after the meeting of the Council of the Ceramic of Onda, held at the Museum of Taulell (Ceramic Tiles Museum) “Manolo Safont”. The I Ceramic Street Furniture Competition of Onda aims to promote innovative projects involving ceramic tiles different uses, and therefore new business opportunities for the industry.
The winning idea is the one that corresponds to the name “Color Lines”, and presents various designs of ceramic street furniture such as park benches. The winners will receive on February 7th, at Cevisama, the prize of 3,000 euros. After Pasqual Herrero and Lluís Bort, in second place and endowed with a prize of 1,500 euros, has been selected Roger Rodriguez-Revenga work, with its ceramic bank proposal.
